Ok, everyone it’s Thanksgiving week and we know what that means. Black Friday!
There are incredible sales going on this time of year, especially for big ticket items, and it kicks off the Holiday season of spending money. The problem is that so many people want to take advantage of the sales that they end up overspending or even getting things they don’t really need or want just because the price is right.
So I’m going to do something crazy, and I want you to join me. Cut up all your department store credit cards!
That’s right, because those are the ones that you are likely to pull out and overspend with and you will very much regret it in January.
If you have a corporate card or emergency card, then by all means hang on to it, but the department store cards usually come with a fee and the absolute worst interest rate.
Don’t get me wrong – I want you to enjoy Black Friday and take advantage of great sales and opportunities for household items and Christmas gifts. What I don’t want you to do is impulsively whip out credit cards and find yourself in a bind this January, again!
Let’s do this together! I’ll be cutting up my credit cards tomorrow on this week’s “Ask Holly” video. Join me.
Meawhile, enjoy the holidays and remember the six F’. Faith, Family, Friends, Food, Festivities and FUN!
